Just Stop it, Already

I think I’m getting a sign that I need to quit making online purchases. Yesterday, another retailer that I had just placed an order with that morning, sent me a 20% off coupon good for three hours only.

[12152015]5DM36232A three hour sale, are you kidding me? So, naturally I tried to place another order to take advantage of the coupon. The only problem was the discount was only being applied to one of the two items in my cart, despite it being touted as “no exclusions.” I tried several times, adding and deleting the same items. No dice. So I left the items in my cart and fired off an email to their customer service department.

The first response was prompt (less than an hour) but it just pissed me off more. The customer service rep claimed she looked at my cart and the discount had been applied. Lies, lies, lies. So I sent another email and this time I included a snapshot of my shopping cart. The second response was that they had manually applied the coupon and it would be good for 24 hours. That’s more like it. Order completed.

Today’s random photos are really random, from three separate trips. The top one is my last from the train museum in Baraboo. The center one is from the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. The final image is from the “Domes” in Milwaukee. The folder is slowing emptying out.
