Tiny Flowers

Early last Sunday morning, I went back out in the yard with my Lensbaby. It’s not glamorous, but it’s certainly convenient.

We have three large Ninebark bushes in our backyard that have tiny white flowers in the spring and tiny red berries in the fall. They also have reddish/purple leaves with an interesting shape.

Consequently, these bushes provide a lot of photographic fodder for me. I found the cluster of tiny white flowers to be perfect subject matter for the Lensbaby. I took many, many photos of them.

I stepped through the f-stops from 1.2 to 5.6 for most of the images. I’ve found I have the best results at f/2.8 or f/4.0, as I have trouble getting anything in focus wider than that and when I stop down more I lose the beautiful Lensbaby effect. I’m definitely going to hit up these bushes again before they stop blooming.
